my personal blog, where I post things that are preppy, classy, fashionable, fun, and anything else I love, with my rants, Harry Potter, and personal thoughts interjected every now and then

Sometimes, you have moments where you really appreciate the fact that God knows exactly what he’s doing.

I’m so thankful that after a very long and stressful day, I’m able to have conversations like the one I just experienced - where at the start, I’m just a shadow of person, but by the end, I feel ready to get it together and take on the world.

So, here’s to you God, for knowing exactly what you were doing when you placed my Little in my life - and not only is she in my life, but she’s a best friend, a confidant, and most importantly, a sister.

me: i want to be around people but i want people to leave me the fuck alone and to shut the fuck up

Jackson and I just had a workout date! (This is precious and impressive because we’re 500 miles apart)  (But damn his being successful and interning in the Department of Education - but not really, I love that he’s so successful - I just hate that he’s so far away)

We talked before, snapchatted during, and FaceTimed afterwards, and it was great motivation! Just dating him is motivating me to work out and eat healthy - the boy’s built like a porn star and dresses like a J. Crew model, the least I can do is be my best for him in return!

Will see him in six days, and then in one month he’s HOME!

So I baked cupcakes while I was home over Easter break so my little nephews could have a dessert we knew they would like.
However.
My mother as she watched me icing: “I’m glad joining a sorority taught you something!”

In celebration of finishing season one of Doctor Who, Minerva now has a hot pink bow tie collar. (Yes, I realize I’m not on that Doctor yet - but it’s a pink bow, she HAD to have it.)

I have great karma.

Thank you Lord for

such a wonderful man to support and love me,

amazing sisters to live with next year,

and a top-notch education that’s no longer kicking my ass.

Amen.

GOING TO THE GREENVILLE HUMANE SOCIETY TODAY TO MEET WHAT IS GOING TO BE THE MOST PERFECT DOG FOR JACKSON AND I TO ADOPT WHEN WE MOVE INTO OUR APARTMENT IN MAY

His name is Alaska, a 6 year old male Siberian Husky/Rough Collie cross.

HE’S PERFECT OK

SO I’m just a little excited.

Now that initiation is done and my little has her basket, I just want this semester to be over. Today in four months, I’ll be in a private cabin of a cruise around the coast of Spain.
Is there a fast forward button?

On the twelfth day of finals, Furman had for me,

Twelve unread emails,

Eleven dog-eared books,

Ten Facebook updates,

Nine people shushing,

Eight Google docs,

Seven paper airplanes,

Six missing pens,

FIVE LIBRARY ANNOUNCEMENTS

Four final exams,

Three bags of popcorn,

Two research papers,

And a college girl still procrastinating!

I just want to bake cookies and drink tea and hang up Christmas lights and loudly sing Christmas songs off key and sleep and cuddle and play with my cat and finish reading my book and eat and go on Tumblr and make hot chocolate and go home and see my family.

I DO NOT want to study.

You know what YOLO actually is? It’s not pulling stupid stunts for a short-lived adrenaline rush, or an excuse for poorly thought out actions. YOLO is learning to count your blessings, being happy despite the stress, and loving yourself and others. Because you really do only live once.
